Domestic gold snapped its three-day long losing streak on Tuesday as speculators and stockists returned to market after a rise in global prices. Kolkata gained the most where standard gold (99.5) shot up by Rs 130 at Rs 10,380 per 10 gm followed by Mumbai with a jump of Rs 100 at Rs 10,210 per 10 gm. In Delhi, gold prices were up by Rs 55 at Rs 10,260 per 10 gm, while in Chennai it rose by Rs 20 at Rs 10,175 per 10 gm. Also, ready silver (.999) shot up by Rs 165 at Rs 18,455 per kg in Delhi followed by Kolkata where prices were up by Rs 150 at Rs 18,500 kg. In Mumbai, the metal recorded a gain of Rs 130 before closing at Rs 18,690 per kg, while the metal traded Rs 120 higher at Rs 18,410 per kg in Chennai.
