Securities Apelletate Tribunal (SAT) on Wednesday put the scheduled delisting of Essar Steel from the stock exchanges in abeyence till further notice.
Trading in Essar Steel shares was to be suspended from December 7 and the company was to be delisted from December 14, according to an earlier notice of Bombay Stock Exchange.
However, SAT in its interim order today stayed the operation of the above notice. In view of the SAT order, "the trading in the equity shares of Essar Steel would not be suspended and delisted and the trading in the same will continue till further notice," BSE said in a circular today.
