Mutual funds bought shares worth a net Rs 119.90 crore on Friday, 11 July 2008, compared to their outflow of Rs 198.40 crore on Thursday, 10 July 2008. Mutual funds' net inflow of Rs 119.90 crore on 11 July 2008 was a result of gross purchases Rs 900.30 crore and gross sales Rs 780.40 crore. Sensex plunged 456.39 points or 3.28% at 13,469.85 on that day as spiraling crude oil prices and weak economic data dampened investor sentiments. Mutual funds' net inflow reached Rs 633.80 crore in the first few days of July 2008, till 11 July 2008. They had bought shares worth a net Rs 3179.20 crore last month.
