City-based IT and BPO company Valuemart Info Technologies Limited on Wednesday announced it has acquired a 74 per cent stake in Datatalk Services (India) Pvt Ltd.
Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
Post acquisition, Datatalk will be a subsidiary of Valuemart, it said in a statement.
Datatalk is a BPO firm that offers direct marketing, customer acquisition and retention and telemarketing services in the domestic market to clients such as Airtel, Club Mahindra, Deutsche Bank, Nestle, Pepsi and Tektronics.
Datatalk currently operates a 100-seater facility here and will set up an additional 200-seat capacity for its clients here and in Hyderabad in the next six months.
C K Vasudevan, Managing Director, Valuemart, said: "The acquisition will help us acquire premium clients and broadbase our service offerings in the BPO segment."
In July, Valuemart completed a preferential issue and raised Rs 6 crore from strategic investors. These funds will be partly utilised for the acquisition, it said.
