Dear Aarman,
In respond to your query, kindly find below the performance of the funds.
Birla Sun Life Tax Relief'96 is launched in the year 1996 and it has given 36.60% returns last five years. Its current net assets is 668.43cr (as on 31.05.2008).The risk grade is average and return grade is above average. Birla is holding only 8% cash in hand.
whereas,
SBI Tax Gain is launched in the year 1993 and it has given 61% returns last five years. Its current net assets is 3,434cr (as on 31.05.2008). The risk grade is low and return grade is high. SBI is holding 17% cash in hand.
Also, SBI dividend history track record is also very good.
SBI Magnum Tax Gain would be right choice.
Any other clarifications, we shall be pleased to clarify the same.
Best Regards,
Pavan

Hey Pavan thanks a ton...
ur reply seems quite convincing...
but the figure i got from the website... showed... that the 5 year returns for SBI was 997.9%.... its sounds a bit unrealistic but still...
i would like 2 know the authenticity of the data... coz i have already made a few decision based on the link i gave...in the first post...
hope it is not...drastically wrong...
cud u please temme where u got the figure of 61%???
Thanks
