Even as stories of various companies benefiting from vast land banks have almost dried up, talks that pharma company Alembic is looking to sell its excess land in Vadodara, continue to do the rounds of the market. Brokers said the company has some free land of roughly 40-50 acres, which it plans to sell. Alembic officials denied such a move, saying the company had sold some land last year.
The company, in October, said it sold land in Vadodara to Inorbit Malls. The latest land sale buzz stems from the talks that the company may need funds for its ongoing expansion plans. Brokers said any news about the land sale would be the next big trigger for the stock.
