Gold priced in euros rose to a new all-time high on Monday as investors bought into the precious metal as a haven from risk. Spot gold in
euro terms rose to a high of 700.54 euros an ounce, up from its previous high of 700.37 euros reached on Friday.
Earlier in the session spot gold priced in sterling also hit a record high of 661.55 pounds an ounce.
