Indsil Electrosmelts, which has a manufacturing facility for ferro alloys, is expected to reap benefits from the sale of excess power from its 21 mw hydel power plant. This plant currently provides power to its smelter division. Now, Indsil is said to be in talks with state electricity boards to sell power at about Rs 8 per unit during peak hours.

If the deal materialises, it would be supplying nearly 20 million units of power. This could result in an addition of nearly Rs 10 crore to the company’s topline, say dealers tracking the stock. When contacted, company officials declined to comment.

The company has posted an earning per share of about Rs 11 for the nine-month period ended March 2008. Analysts expect the company to report an EPS of about Rs 18 for the full year ended March 31, 2008
